Biography

Salvatore Venturini was born into a musical family in Salerno, on October 5, 1983. His father Bruno Venturini is a milestone in the history of Neapolitan music.

His natural bent for singing is evident: Salvatore at the age of seven records his own version of 'O Sole Mio at recording studio SAAR Records in Pero (Milan) for the song Acquarello Napoletano (by Enzo Bonagura and Lino Benedetto), arranged and conducted by Mario Battaini and included in the collection Antologia Della Canzone Napoletana (Anthology of Neapolitan Song) by Bruno Venturini.

Years later he starts learning music under the influence and guide of three of his masters: Tony Tafuri (musical theory, light music, piano and electronic keyboard), Carmen Trombaccia (musical theory and education, singing and choral accompaniment) and soprano Maria Letizia Tedeschi (lyrical singing and preparatory course for the entry test to the conservatory).

After starting to attend a singing course at the age of eighteen, at conservatory Martucci in Salerno, where he is encouraged to learn classical authors, he makes researches in the folklore and tradition of italian singer songwriter's music.

At the age of twenty two, he starts contributing to several television and musical projects (RAI TV) for his father and this opportunity gives him the possibility of interacting and making himself appreciated by great masters, interpreters and other people of the international and television scene.

A prolific union for Salvatore Venturini is that with Romeo Mario Pepe, a music composer from Salerno. He encourages him to perform as a solo voice in France, in 2006, at the theatre of Villepinte and as a member of the choir at XII Festival Internazionale di Canto Corale, at UNESCO in Paris, supporting the permanent school coral project of Torquato Tasso Institute in Salerno.

His master Pepe touring theatres and concerts, involves him in operetta projects in the vocal group Musifocus, and later in relevant musicals directed by Alessandra Totoli, a soprano and teacher of Musictherapy with who Salvatore starts attending a cycle of studies, in order to polish some rigid aspects of his vocal technique he had learned when he attended the music conservatory: INFERNO - Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, first as Brunetto Latini and later as Dante (2007); ABELLA - in two acts, set at the time of Scuola Medica Salernitana, in the role of Mauro (2008); SIDDHARTA - Philosophical Musical, in the role of Govinda (2009).

After taking his leaving examination at a secondary school (with an emphasis on science) and a degree in Economics at Salerno University discussing a thesis on Marketing Discografico (supervisor Professor Maria Teresa Cuomo), he gives his contribution to projects of classical neapolitan songs and italian romances for the record company SAAR in Milano: Bruno Venturini Canta Libero Bovio (2005), Eternamente e Notturno d'Amore (2006).

From June 2012 to December 2013 he is given a relevant job: a training and relationship contract at the division of Barclays Bank in Italy. His contract is only for a short time and is not renewed. It seems to be a sign for his future career.

So for the label Lucky Planets, in Milano, he realizes the project Bruno Venturini - The Greatest Hits (2013), supervising the packaging and choosing the repertoire of Neapolitan songs, Italian romances and pieces from American musical.

After working at this project, he performs singing a duet on television with his father (Rai1, Domenica In) on December, 22, directed by Enzo Campagnoli (an orchestra conductor and vocal coach of the tv format Mediaset Amici.

Soon after this live experience on tv, the foundation EUTHECA (European Union Academy of Theatre and Cinema) in Roma, being interested in his vocal style, engages him and charges him with a record project as a solo voice, trusting him for a free choice of the repertoire.

At last Salvatore has the possibility of expressing himself and following his own ideas on how to plan his musical career. Because of this, he decides to contact one of the greatest masters, a veteran of light music, in the field of italian television and Sanremo Sonf Festival, Pippo Caruso. The master soon appreciates Salvatore's voice and personality.

The whole project album I Percorsi Dell'Amore (Paths of Love) includes songs which go from well selected italian music covers in a pop synphonic key to new songs fit for the whole repertoire.
Pippo Caruso supervises arrangements, of musical conducting and of the organization of the whole staff made up by musicians and solo voices with international experience, and Bruno Venturini is charged with musical and vocal advice.

His proposal is soon accepted with enthusiasm by Major labels on the market, and the Universal Music Italia is particularly interested in the project of Salvatore Venturini.

The idea of the record company is to launch on the market an unknown singer with an EP (mini album) reserved to Digital Download, containing the first four pieces (Così Bella E Così Sola by Domenico Modugno and Salvatore Palomba, In Bicicletta by Riccardo Cocciante and Mogol, Volevo Solo Dirti Che by Biagio Antonacci and Archei, Non Arrossire by Maria Monticelli, Mogol, Giorgio Gaber and Davide Pennati), and in addition a version Radio Edit (In Bicicletta).

In September 2014 officially joins his musical staff Master Lorenzo Maffia, who collaborates with great italian artists as Laura Pausini, Michele Zarrillo and many others.

The idea of performing songs Italian repertoire with a simple, clear and versalite voice, combining them with new songs wich might be a success and the atmosphere of accompaniments of great orchestra conducted by Master Pippo Caruso, have originated the judgement of italian critic Dario Salvatori: at the presentation of his Dizionario della Canzone he has defined Salvatore Venturini "an excellent interpreter and a sincere lover of italian songs".

ANSA news (Italian Associated Press Agency) at Salvatore's first appearance has seen in the singer a "promising performer, able to make known abroad great italian repertoire (which has seen for many years in Domenico Modugno one of the greatest representatives of international level), a true 'Italian Michael Bublé' for what concerns his style and laying out of a national musical proposal (no other reference or comparison) based on revived covers with no great changes and new songs".
